Job description: Our Client in the Atlantis area are seeking the skills of Logistics Planners (with 3PL Third Party Logistics) to start, immediately. Please do forward your resume and qualification docs on our service desk.Task and responsibilities3PL – Third-Party Logistics – In a 3PL model, an enterprise maintains management oversight, but outsources operations of transportation and logistics to a provider who may subcontract out some or all of the execution. In other words, we use outsourced transportation doing our loads for example – so the person must have experience working with the 3 different types of the business which will be the customer, the employer, and the contracted transport provider.
- Worked with or ecommerce site deliveries booking management
- 3-5 year working experience in Logistics, that applies to warehousing and Transportation experiences
- Make bookings for delivery to customers for designated schedules, following the booking cycles set out by the management team.
- Interaction with internal suppliers and customers to resolve queries and improve operations.
- Make booking for collection requirements from Customers to Warehouses.
- Capture bookings and manage booking details on OMS and TMS.
- Coordinate with the warehousing team to pin-point the booking dates and time, for picking and loading activities.
- Must be willing to learn how OMS TMS and WMS works to ensure stock is correctly booked in for delivery
- Must be punctual and must be able to work under pressure
- Must be comfortable managing the communication with the Controller at 3PL profile and the Companys controller.
- Good understanding on RSA geographical locations.
- Good communication skills.
Skills and Experience
- Diploma or higher education in Logistics industry related subjects.
- Minimum bilingual candidates, main language is English, plus Afrikaans and others, speaking and writing fluently and professionally
