Job description: Medical Receptionist PositionDr C Jeske – Surgical Gastroenterologist practice in Unitas Hospital, based in Lyttelton, is seeking to recruit a well presented and experienced medical receptionist.· Managing reception· Answering calls / switchboard / e-mails· Drs Diary / appointments / adding admin follow ups· Managing consultation days & doctors instructions for patient· Managing & getting patient reports on patient file· Managing Electronic patient files· Scanning & saving of new admission files & notes· Computer skills (We use Vericlaim & Careon in hospital)· Patient files & uploading of patient info· Hospital admissions & bed bookings· Compiling and sending patient and theatre lists· Billing and medical codes / costing· All general admin· Managing practice & cleaner· Ordering kitchen stock· Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Popia understanding & maintaining confidentiality of doctors, staff & patient info
· Position start: Immediately or latest 6. January 2025· Matric· Receptionist qualification/ skills· Min 4 yrs experience in a medical practice· Knowledge of coding and medical billing, preferably Vericlaim· Strong admin & organisational skill· Ability to work well under pressure· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Bilingual and well spoken· Strong team spirit and patient orientated· Computer literacy and high attention to detail· Own transport· Available Mon – Fri 7h30 to 16h30
Expected salary: R180000 – 264000 per year
