Job description: Job DetailsOne of our large Information Technology Clients based in Centurion are urgently in need of a Multi-Skilled Sales Manager to join their IT Department to start as soon as possible, or immediately.MUST HAVE A PASSION FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, ACQUIRING NEW WAYS TO INCREASE SALES, AND MANAGING A SALES TEAM OF + 15 STAFF MEMBERS.Salary: R15 000 + commission (depending on experience)Working hours are Monday – Friday from 08:00AM – 17:00PM and Saturdays from 09:00AM – 13:00PM (with one Saturday off).Job Purpose:The Sales Manager (SM) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales and sales team in accordance with overall company policy. The main focus of the manager’s job function is to improve the commercial performance of sales by increasing its turnover and maximising profitability. Achieving performance objectives will require action in the areas of customer care; regional marketing; sales and administration.Requirements:Grade 12Sales, Marketing & Managing QualificationsBackground from IT Industry3-5 Years Sales Managing ExperienceNeeds to be Computer LiterateMust be out going, be-able to sell, can close dealsMust be presentableValid License and Own TransportDuties:Managing and motivating the sales team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.Ensuring each sales person has a target that should be intrinsically linked to the Group overall sales target.Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximise profits;Analysing and interpreting local and regional trends to facilitate planning;Using information technology to record sales figures and for data analysis and forward planning;Dealing with sales staffing issues: conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organising training & development:Ensuring the sales team and all other relevant staff have an on-going training program with current and new products;Ensuring standards for quality, customer service, health and safety are met;Responding to customer complaints on sales, quality, market trends and comments;Organising special promotions, display and events;Arranging staff meetings weekly or as and when required;Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues;Maintaining awareness of market trends in the industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing;Any other duties related to your branch from time to time as instructed by the Managing Director or his representative
Expected salary: R15000 per month
