Job description: Job SummaryMain Purpose of JobThe Service Advisor works pro-actively to ensure the effective daily operation of the service reception and that the customer service needs and expectations are met, from customer enquiry through to completion of the invoice and follow-up. This work contributes to an optimized utilization of the workshop and long profitable relations with the customers.Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ service advisor experience
- Experience on Evolve, CMS and OEM systems will be an advantage
- Exceptional communication skills
- Exceptional customer service
- Clear criminal record
- Computer Literate
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Contact service customers to make bookings.
- To promote the sales of labour and parts.
- Contact the customer for authorisation for any additional repairs beyond the agreed estimate and provide the customer the new estimate and updated delivery time.
- Record the results of the contact on the job card and any additional instructions authorised or declined by the customer.
- To obtain the customer’s approval and signature after ensuring the customer understands the dealership’s payment policy.
- Ensure the security of all vehicles, i.e vehicles locked in workshop and keys locked in the key safe.
- Ensure to obtain approval from service plan and warranty providers before technician starts work on vehicle.
- Ensure the job cards are completed accurately and fully.
- Ensure all job cards are costed and invoiced timeously and all required documents are signed by the client.
- Work In Progress to be monitored daily.
- Follow up on any outstanding payments.
