Job description: Restaurant Manager – High-End Restaurant in Cape TownKendrick Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a busy, high-end restaurant in the heart of Cape Town. If you have extensive restaurant management experience and a passion for delivering exceptional service, this is the perfect opportunity for you!Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and service standards at all times.
- Handle customer complaints and compliments effectively, ensuring senior management is informed.
- Manage staff performance and motivation, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Greet, seat, and farewell customers, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Oversee efficient order taking, service, and table resetting.
- Manage reservation requests via Dineplan, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Compile and manage duty rosters, leave schedules, and other personnel documentation.
- Conduct staff interviews and quarterly performance reviews.
- Monitor POS system usage and handle fault-finding and maintenance.
- Oversee operational stock takes and restocks.
- Ensure the restaurant is set up on time and according to standards.
- Conduct daily meetings with the chef, FOH, and management team for smooth operations.
- Enforce hygiene, safety, and security procedures.
- Provide staff training to maintain high standards.
Requirements:
- Extensive Restaurant Management experience, particularly in a high-end setting.
- Understanding of the tour group business is an advantage.
- Fully computer literate and proficient with Micros POS; Dineplan knowledge is advantageous.
- Ability to work weekends (non-negotiable).
- Excellent communication and proactive staff management skills.
- Must have own transport.
- South African citizens only.
