Job description: Duty Manager – Luxury Estate – FranschhoekFull job descriptionAs the Duty Manager, you will be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for providing high-level, personalized hospitality to guests. From their warm welcome and gentle check-in, to ensuring smooth and memorable experiences throughout their stay, you will play a pivotal role in managing each guest’s journey. This includes guiding guests through their personalized schedules, assisting with special requests, and arranging transfers and treatments. You will also oversee the aesthetic and ambiance of the property, ensuring the highest standards of service in every aspect of the guest’s visit.In addition to guest-facing duties, you will manage the Sterrekopje Farm Shop, including stock-taking and sales, and handle various administrative tasks such as ordering supplies. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen team to stay informed of daily menus, ensuring everything aligns with the guests’ preferences. This role also involves leading group activities, setting up rituals, and maintaining a harmonious atmosphere in all guest areas.Your responsibilities will extend beyond hospitality, as you will work with the maintenance, IT, housekeeping, and service teams to ensure all operations run smoothly. Forward planning, effective communication, and attention to detail are key elements in this position.Responsibilities:Managing all aspects of the guest journey, including welcome, orientation, scheduling activities, and check-out.Coordinating personalized guest schedules, booking treatments, and overseeing group activities and rituals.Ensuring the ambiance and aesthetic of the house and guest areas are maintained to the highest standard.Managing the Sterrekopje Farm Shop, including stock control and sales.Communicating effectively with various teams regarding guest needs, special requests, and menu alignment.Leading by example with a hands-on approach, working closely with service and hospitality teams.Collaborating with support departments to ensure guest experience meets the highest standards.Assisting with guest requests, including booking transfers and organizing additional experiences.Upholding safety, security, and guest preferences through adherence to policies and standards.Experience in hospitality management or a similar guest-facing role.Strong leadership and communication skills with a warm, open, and intuitive approach to guest service.Impeccable attention to detail and a hands-on attitude.Ability to manage multiple tasks, including administrative duties, while maintaining a focus on guest experience.Knowledge of wellness practices, regenerative hospitality, and sustainable living is a strong advantage.Passion for hospitality and a love for creating memorable guest experiences.Between 3 – 5 Years
Expected salary: R18000 – 20000 per month
