- Develop and execute buying strategies that align with company objectives and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to inform purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with design, merchandising, and planning teams to curate collections that resonate with target customers.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Drive innovation and trend forecasting within the footwear and accessories category.
- Ensure all purchases align with quality standards and brand expectations.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Fashion, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer in the retail industry, specifically within footwear and accessories.
- Proven ability to analyse market trends and consumer behaviour.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant retail software and systems.
