Job description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Specialist for a beauty manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be passionate about beauty and skincare, with a strong understanding of cosmetic formulation and product development.Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Essential.
- Diploma or Degree in related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in scaling up laboratory formulations to commercial production.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory batch mixing.
- A solid understanding of product development and formulation.
- Familiarity with cosmetic industry regulations and guidelines.
- In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and INCI names.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and high-quality cosmetic formulations, including make-up, creams, and lotions.
- Successfully scale up laboratory batches to commercial production quantities.
- Oversee and participate in laboratory batch mixing processes.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry regulations, including labeling and ingredient restrictions.
- Possess a deep understanding of cosmetic ingredients, including INCI names and their properties.
- Conduct rigorous testing to evaluate product performance, stability, and safety.
- Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Identify and resolve formulation and production issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of formulation development, testing, and production processes..
