Job description: Together with our client, a logistics company we are recruiting for a New Business Development Consultant in Good Wood, Cape Town. The ideal candidate must have minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or transport sectorDuties and Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
- Identify potential clients in target markets through research and networking.
- Develop a robust sales pipeline to achieve set targets.
- Cold call, schedule appointments, and meet with prospective clients to introduce Kargo services.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries during the onboarding process.
- Understand client needs to provide customized logistics solutions.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing and service terms to secure contracts aligned with company objectives.
Market Analysis:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer preferences.
Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or transport sector.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel as required
Salary:
- R 35 000.00 – R 40 000.00 CTC per month – depending on experience
