- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, and manage supplier performance.
- Procurement Process: Execute purchase orders, track orders, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production schedules.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and manage replenishment cycles to prevent shortages while optimizing stock turnover rates.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, ensure compliance with company policies, and assist in internal audits.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
Requirements
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years in a procurement or buying role, ideally within the mining, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
