Job description: Conferencing & Events Venue in Midrand is looking for a Sales Executive.Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics
- Attend sales meetings with senior management
- Conduct market research on target audiences
- Generate reports for management
- Monitor and report competitor activity
- Coordinate and distribute promotional materials
- Maintain a comprehensive client and contract database
- Conduct telesales and face-to-face sales calls
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Participate in travel functions and industry events
- Visit and maintain relationships with key clients
Requirements:
- Matric, a tertiary qualification is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years hotel sales experience
- High degree of self-motivation and ambition
- High level of customer service orientation, discipline, organisational skills, attention to detail, and a strong drive to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in IsiXhosa, IsiZulu, or Afrikaans is an advantage
- Previous experience in Groups, Conferences and Events sales
- Previous experience in various market sectors i.e. Corporate, Government, Travel Management Companies and Professional Conference Organisers
- Own vehicle required
