Job description: Working closely with the Finance team and various stakeholders for project procurement requirements. The role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the procurement function and operations. Furthermore, identify and implement processes or systems that will improve on BBEEE spending and compliance. Ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures.Reporting· Monthly Procurement report· Ensure all Vendor accounts on accounting systems are complete and contains are the minimum required information. Including ensuring that all certifications are valid.
Ensure that vendors/ suppliers are selected based on the 5 main criteria, deviations to be reported on.Procurement Managment· Requesting company documentation for new vendors· Opening /Loading New Vendors on AX for Management Approval· Compilation and Loading of Capex· Directing and coordinating the procurement of direct and indirect materials to meet requirements on site.· Take responsibility for strategic planning, policy development and governance within procurement and oversee implementation of the overall procurement strategy on site.· Identification and understanding of the site projects and project requirements.· Active early involvement on projects and act as the link between the Project procurement and all stakeholders.· Work closely with operations and finance to create supply strategies which ensure optimum performances with regards to cost, technical requirements and quality.· Coordinating with suppliers for requests for information, quotation, proposals, and leading negotiations with suppliers for obtaining timely procurement of commodities for project work at favourable terms,· Departmental administration which includes compiling purchase orders on AX for procurement of materials and services, and handling of queries.· Assist with Tender compilation & administration thereof.
- Ensure compliance to the BBBEE Act as well as other relevant acts and legislation requirements (e.g., Preferential Procurement).
Stock And Fixed Assets· Updating stock items and pricing on AX
- Ensuring compliance of fixed asset procurement procedures
CashFlow And creditor Managment
- Provide weekly expected spending to FM
Budget and Forecast
- Assist with the annual budget as and when required
Audit
- Assist in financial audits and implement audit recommendations
- Assist in BBEEE audit and implement audit recommendations
People Managment And Leadership
- Provision of advisory support to operational staff procuring goods and services on behalf of the Company

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Procurement Buyer.
- Knowledge, understanding and expertise in procurement, commodity management, contracts management, including knowledge of Preferential Procurement.
- Experience and understanding of contracting and purchasing strategies
Education

- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Certificate in Procurement NQF level5 (an advantage
