Job description: Job Summary The ideal candidate must already be in (Software as a System) SaaS environment. This person will play a key role in supporting my client’s global financial operations and contributing to its growth in both South African and international markets. This includes overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. The Finance Manager will also manage internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support business initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage daily financial operations, including invoicing, payroll, and other financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Take ownership of the financial information, refining processes and systems to improve efficiency.
- Prepare performance reports for quarterly board meetings and monthly updates with senior management.
- Collaborate with the Legal Department to review commercial agreements and ensure potential risks are identified and mitigated.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- Lead cost management initiatives to reduce operational costs and enhance efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- A qualified accountant (degree or equivalent in accounting and/or finance).
- 3 – 5 years of experience leading a finance function.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience working in the SaaS, tech, or e-commerce solutions space ESSENTIAL
- Ability to balance tactical day-to-day tasks with strategic long-term planning.
