Job description: Kendrick Recruitment are seeking an experienced and skilled HR Manager to oversee all human resources functions at a Luxury Game Lodge in the Kruger National Park. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing HR policies, programs, and practices, as well as providing strategic HR guidance to the management team. The successful candidate will work closely with employees at all levels of the organisation to ensure compliance with labor laws, effective talent management, and a positive employee experience.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and practices that align with the organisation’s strategic goals and comply with labor laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR matters, including recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
- Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates for open positions.
- Develop and implement effective talent management strategies, including employee onboarding, training and development, and succession planning.
- Manage employee relations, including resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and addressing employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, managing employee benefits, and conducting compensation reviews.
- Ensure HR compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining employee records, preparing reports, and submitting statutory requirements.
- Stay updated on HR best practices, trends, and legal requirements to ensure the organization’s HR policies and practices remain current and effective.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions, as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Qualification in human reseource manager preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role, with a solid understanding of HR policies, practices, and labor laws in South Africa.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of talent management, recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
