We have the perfect opportunity for you.We are looking for a pastry chef with experience in specialty cakes and icing to join a coffee shop and bakery in Hillcrest. A premiere coffee shop that offers fantastic food and cakes, along with catering services for all occasions.Our Client prides themselves in creating delectable dishes with the finest ingredients and serving them with a smile.As the pastry chef, you will be responsible for:
- Baking cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, muffins, croissants and other sweet treats
- Developing new recipes and menus
- Ensuring quality standards and customer satisfaction
- Managing inventory and costs
- Complying with health and safety regulations
- Icing of cakes with quality, creativity and perfection.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A relevant qualification in pastry or baking (Advantageous)
- At least 3 years of experience as a pastry chef or baker
- A creative flair and a passion for baking especially in regard to cake decoration/icing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Salary – R10 000 – R12 000 per month, depending on your qualifications and experience.You will also enjoy working in a beautiful location with a stunning view, a supportive team, and a loyal customer base.***Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted***
