Job Title: Part-time NPO Regional Coordinator

Job description: Job Description :An established NPO in child healthcare requires an experienced freelance Regional Coordinator to work 7 to 8 hours per week, promoting the benefits of collaboration between the foundation and the hospitals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal cooperation of staff and patients within hospitals. Your work will involve going to the various hospitals in Pietermaritzburg.Responsibilities:Project Management
- Manage projects within your area – 67 minutes, Easter, Christmas Parties.
- Successfully handle the logistics of workshop sessions with the in-house psychologist (30-minute session once a month at the hospital). Logistics would include catering and transport.
- To assist the in-house psychologist with volunteer management.
- To identify potential patients and facilitate a referral to the foundation.
- To facilitate ongoing relationships within the hospitals.
Administration
- Ensure that the Spreadsheet of Key Issues is updated regularly.
- Ensure that the patient database is updated regularly to ensure accurate statistical reporting.
- Coordinated monthly reports.
- Capturing data.
- Basic report compilation.
- Check budget inputting and expenses and compile a brief monthly report.
- Update the database for the patient referral system to each hospital nationally.
Relationship Management
- Develop, manage and maintain key relationships where applicable within your region.
Patient Support and Logistics
- Coordinate patient logistics and hospital access.
- Assist surgery preparation and surgeon liaison.
- Collaborate with head office and volunteers.
- Support patients and caregivers in clinics.
- Focus on information sharing, referrals, and education.
Clinic Management
- Providing practical support to prospective patients and caregivers.
- Developing a constant value-added presence within the clinics where appropriate.
- Collate patient data from departments or hospitals relating to assistance with patients.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate / NQF Level 4
- Knowledge of hospital systems and procedures
- Previous experience across cross-cultural contexts, preferably in the Public, NGO and Corporate Sectors
- Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate at all levels & handle stakeholder relationships (verbal, written, facilitation)
- Numeracy skills, an ability to compile, allocate and manage budgets
- Strong administration skills
- Organisational skills, an ability to plan and follow procedures for events, campaigns, etc.
- Research skills and an ability to structure, organise & analyse information and processes in a logical & meaningful way (numeric/non-numeric)
- Ability to take initiative and develop creative resolutions to challenges
