Job description: Job Summary Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests with check-in/check-out
- Handle reservations and guest inquiries
- Provide information on hotel services and local attractions
- Address guest needs and complaints promptly
- Oversee housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Manage guest records and billing
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless experience
- Supervise and train staff, including scheduling
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and cleanliness
- Assist with restaurant service and event coordination
Requirements:
- Experience in hotel reception or front desk
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficient with hotel management software (Semper, Night Bridge, Pastel, MS Office)
- Leadership experience and ability to manage a team
- Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Stellenbosch and surrounding areas
- Own transport and good health
- Experience in restaurant front-of-house, payroll, and accounting is a plus
