Job description: Are you a seasoned Warehouse Manager with a passion for driving efficiency in the electrical and energy sector? Our client, a leader in the industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to take charge of their warehouse operations in Johannesburg North.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring optimal workflow and operational efficiency.
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and investigate discrepancies through variance analysis.
- Ensure the accurate tracking of stock movement using ERP systems, addressing and resolving missing stock issues promptly.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to streamline logistics and distribution operations.
- Implement and maintain health, safety, and compliance standards in the warehouse.
- Optimize space utilization and maintain an organized, functional, and clean warehouse environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve order fulfillment accuracy and reduce lead times.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, implementing corrective measures to ensure seamless operations.
- Generate and present regular performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and operational improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar role, preferably within the electrical or energy industry.
- Strong background in inventory management, stock tracking, and variance analysis.
- Proficient in ERP systems with a proven ability to manage inventory and reporting functions.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and coordinating logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with experience in fault finding and implementing corrective actions.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
