Job description: Job SummaryAs part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef with fine dining experience to join our dynamic kitchen team.As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations. You will assist in menu planning, kitchen management, and food preparation while ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, motivated, and collaborative chef with a strong background in fine dining.Key Responsibilities:Kitchen Operations Management:
Assist the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service, and maintaining high culinary standards.Menu Preparation and Execution:
Support the development and preparation of menus, ensuring that each dish is executed to perfection, meeting the restaurant’s fine dining standards.Food Quality Control:
Ensure that all dishes are consistently prepared and presented to the highest quality, adhering to the established recipes and standards.Staff Supervision and Training:
Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standards.Inventory and Stock Control:
Help manage the kitchen’s inventory, order supplies, and track stock levels to maintain cost efficiency and minimize waste.Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that the kitchen adheres to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times.Assist in Managing Kitchen Efficiency:
Work alongside the Head Chef to optimize kitchen operations, streamline workflows, and ensure that orders are completed promptly without compromising quality.Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure the delivery of outstanding food quality to customers and assist in resolving any culinary issues or feedback in a professional manner.Collaboration with Front-of-House Team:
Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and an exceptional dining experience for guests.Required Skills and Experience:Fine Dining Experience:
Experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant, with a thorough understanding of high-level kitchen operations.Culinary Qualifications:
Formal culinary training or equivalent experience from a reputable culinary institution.Strong Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage kitchen staff, and maintain efficiency under pressure.Exceptional Culinary Skills:
Proficient in a wide range of cooking techniques, with a focus on fine dining and high-level presentation.Knowledge of Food Trends:
Awareness of current trends in fine dining and ability to incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into the menu.Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff, management, and front-of-house teams.Attention to Detail:
