Our customers include a wide range of South African national companies.We are currently in the process of recruiting for a Production Manager. This role is to oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. To ensure that the manufacturing process runâs efficiently, meet quality standards and customer deadlines.Responsibilities include:Production CoordinationImplement production schedules to meet customer demandsCoordinate production activities with other departmentsAllocate resources including personnel, equipment and material to maximise efficiency and productivityMonitor production processes and workflow, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to address bottlenecks and delaysAnalyse production processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction while optimizing efficiency and productivityConduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actionImplement inventory control measures to minimize wasteEnsure compliance with undustry standards, regulations and safety protocolsMaintain accurate production records and documentationPersonnel ManagementManage subordinates in line with company policies, procedures and industry collective agreement.Responsible to lead, motivate, train and control any allocated personsEnsure that subordinates record and report quality problems immediatelyMonitor and direct workflow of subordinatesHold regular performance reviews to discuss performance against objectives, counselling employees where performance is not in line with the standardsMotivate team to develop with a focus on ongoing improvement. Implement good ideas, give credit where due, support, counsel and discipline where necessaryFoster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.Promote a culture of workplace safety.Practical hands-on passing on of skill (âShow and doâ)Guide team to ensure that members deliver output and performance in line with company quality standardsCommunicate and confirm values and goals and clarify roles on an ongoing basisProactively communicate consequences of misconduct to team membersConduct discipline and counselling where necessary, staying within the limits of orderly actions in terms of the disciplinary codeHealth and SafetyEnsure organisational health and safety standards and safe working practices are maintainedWork safely and report on safety hazards or issuesReport any accidents, incidents and near missesFood (Product) Safety:Food safety standards are site specific and at these sites employees should:Apply the siteâs food safety principles and standardsReport any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/ManagerComply to and maintain all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) in relation to the Companyâs FSMS (Food Safety Management System)QualityApply the companyâs quality principles and standardsMaintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Reporting and AdministrationAll reports and administration related to the positionGeneralEnsure team knows what to do and where to find information if you are not availableInform yourself about and apply the company’s principles and standardsSet an example, be a role model for your team and others in the way you work and behaveResponsible for all activities linked to position as definedEnsures that the structure for escalation of responsibility is effectiveCommunicationReport on appropriate forum issues requiring action / action from other departments / instances of major downtimeEnsure transparent, responsive, and open communication between colleaguesJob Type: Full-timePay: R27 000 – R29 000 per month
