Job description: Our Group Practice at Nurture Helderberg in the Western Cape is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team.Minimum Salary: R28 569,34 Cost to Company (including benefits)REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- BSc Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy (community year completed)
- Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner) and Malpractice Insurance
- Maintain CPD standing as required by HPCSA
- Bobath / NDT training is beneficial
- 2 years experience in a rehabilitation environment is preferred
- Basic / Intermediate wheelchair training is beneficial
- Special interest and broad experience in Orthopaedics, Neurology (CVA/TBI and SCI)
and Vocational readyingKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of the ICF Framework with good written and spoken English language skills.
- Effective interdisciplinary team member
- Awareness of evidence base for interventions
- Computer literacy (Beginner/intermediate Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook)
- Experience coordinating projects, people, or services
- Extensive knowledge regarding clinical practice in physical rehabilitation
- To foster therapeutic relationships in the inter-disciplinary team by developing joint goals, sharing information, and promoting a collaborative approach to patient and family care and outcomes
- Available to work on a weekend / public holiday on rotation
