Job description: A medium sized South African Hotel Group is looking to employ a Hotel General Manager to effectively manage and oversse the effective running of a hotel in Sandton from budgets to staffing. The ideal candidate will need to meet the following basic criteria: –REQUIREMENTS:
- Minumum of a Hospitality Management Diploma.
- 10 Years experience of running a 4* or 5* city corporate hotel with over 200 rooms, minumum of 2 restaurants, 2 Bars and banqueting for 200 along with a gym and spa.
- Sound experience in front office and food and beverage within a 4 or 5* hotel, excellent knowledge and undertanding of the South African hospitality market with emphasis on revenue management and marketing strategies to elevate this property.
- Strong leadeship skills, be willing to lead from the front ot get standards up and improve profitability.
- Must be fit and healthy as be able to walk the property daily to ensure that all teams are working to thier maximum.
- Own vehicle is essential.
- Knowledge of Infor and Nebula Point of sale would be a distinct advantage.
- Must be able to work in a team, have a solid service history with minumum of 2 years in each previpus position.
- Needs to have a thorough understanding of the SA Labour market.
- Be proactive and a good planner.
