Job Title: Financial Manager

Job description: Job Summary KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:
- All aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance
- Preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Maintenance of a fixed asset register
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and shareholders
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to suppliers
- Manage budgets, forecasts and cashflow
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements including SARS submissions
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
- Financial analysis
- Monthly salary processing and payment
- Recording of staff leave, overtime and tips
- Following up late payments and liaising with debtors
- Stock control – costings, maintain the accuracy of stock quantities and assist with stock takes
- Preparation of an annual audit file
- General office administrative requirements
- Management and refinement of internal financial operations across all Hotel divisions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an accountant in the Hospitality industry (minimum 5 years)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- High proficiency in Sage Pastel accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with working with Hotel and Point of Sale management software (e.g. Apex, PlusPoint etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
