Job description: A strong growing industrial and operational consulting company is looking for a dynamic Assistant Financial Manager to join their team in Pretoria, Gauteng . The company has shown really strong growth trends over the last 2 years, and as such this is an ideal opportunity for the right individual who would like to grow with the organization as it expands.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles. As the Assistant Financial Manager you will assist senior management in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage and maintain financial records in compliance with relevant accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual management reporting packs
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare statutory submissions such as VAT, PAYE, and income tax returns.
- Prepare monthly payroll.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Accountant (SA) or Associate General Accountant (AGA) designation (preferred).
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Articles preferred, with a minimum 4 years total experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero accounting is advantageous.
- Simplepay experience is also advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Salary
- R360 000 – R540 000 CTC per annum, highly dependent on candidate experience.
