Job description: Job Summary As a Trade Tested Millwright in the milling and food industry, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure the smooth operation of our production facilities. The role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and a deep understanding of the unique demands of food processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on milling and food processing equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with minimal downtime
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation of production lines
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment
- Adhere to safety, hygiene, and quality standards specific to the food industry
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to ensure optimal machine performance
Requirements:
- Trade Tested Millwright certification
- 3 to 10 years of experience in the milling and/or food industry
- Strong knowledge of milling machinery, conveyors, mixers, packaging, and food-grade systems
- Expertise in PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on reducing downtime
- Ability to work in a high-paced, regulated environment
- Commitment to food safety and quality control standards
- Must have electrical and mechanical experience
