Job description: Job Summary We require a Production Manager / Production Controller to oversee projects and production. The production manager is responsible for sourcing materials and parts that is vital to the continuation of production. The production manager will be responsible for keeping the production control sheets up to date and to ensure that all items are procured according to drawing specifications. As the production manager, you will be required to review data packs of entire machines. These data pack will consist of mechanical drawings and DXF files that will need to be reviewed and altered according to manufacturing requirements. Key Responsibilities Production Planning and Scheduling Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to meet business objectives and project goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., purchasing, engineering, and logistics) to coordinate resources and resolve conflicts. Adjust schedules as necessary in response to changes in demand, supply chain disruptions, or equipment downtime. Inventory and Resource Management Monitor and manage raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required materials
Qualifications / Experience Must be able to read mechanical drawings. Must have CAD experience as you would be required to review DXF files and make corrections. Computer Literate (Excel, Word, One drive) Experience in production planning, scheduling and project management. Managerial or Supervisory role. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in production planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Key Competencies Leadership and team management. Expected salary: R50000 per month
