Job description: Key Responsibilities:
- Production Coordination:
- Plan and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Allocate resources, including personnel and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Monitor production workflows, addressing bottlenecks and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and company quality requirements.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate a diverse production team.
- Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage workflow and discipline in line with company policies and industry best practices.
- Health, Safety, and Quality:
- Enforce workplace safety standards and compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols where applicable.
- Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to address issues and improve operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) with an NQF Level 6 qualification in Production or Operations Management.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Production Manager role within blow moulding, plastics, or general manufacturing.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Problem-solving expertise and the ability to manage under pressure.
- Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of blow moulding and plastics manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and quality control regulations in manufacturing.
