Civil construction company is seeking a Civil Construction Production Manager/General Foreman to oversee and drive excellence on a variety of civil engineering projects.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction teams on projects including pipelines, earthworks, roads, and concrete works.
- Implement and ensure compliance with construction methods in line with SANS 1200 standards.
- Organize and direct daily site activities to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Train and mentor emerging foremen and labor teams, fostering growth and skill development.
- Oversee plant and equipment management to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage contracts, public relations, and client/employer relationships effectively.
- Maintain strong organizational and communication practices to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Production Manager/General Foreman role on civil construction projects.
- Education: Passed Grade 12 / NQF4; a relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven expertise in managing construction teams and delivering high-quality results.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies and compliance with SANS 1200.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and upskill team members for long-term project success.
- Proficiency in man-management and contractual oversight.
- Licenses: Valid Code EB or higher driver’s license.
Expected salary: R37000 – 47000 per month
