This dynamic and entrepreneurial business is looking for a Financial Accountant to step into a critical role where precision, accountability, and proactivity are key. Operating in a fast-paced, stock-intensive environment, the ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, sound technical knowledge, and the hunger to take ownership of the numbers. You’ll gain exposure to everything from tax and SARS queries to audit prep, with the opportunity to grow and develop alongside the business.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare VAT, income tax submissions, and respond to SARS queries
- Assist with audit processes and resolve audit queries
- Ensure accurate stock and cost control reporting
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end close and management reporting
Education:
- BCom Degree in Accounting or
- Completed articles (SAICA or SAIPA) preferred, but not essential
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Article clerk up to 2 years post-article experience or completed articles
- Strong Excel skills – candidates will complete a practical test
- Experience with stock or inventory environments highly beneficial
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and accountability in a fast-moving setting
