This role will place a significant emphasis on your electrical skills and knowledge, including electrical wiring, electrical fault finding, PLC maintenance, and programming.Key Requirements:
- Certified millwright or proof of other electromechanical training/education.
- Electrical experience/skills suited for a production environment.
- High attention to detail – we demand precision and quality in all tasks.
- Ability to work shifts according to a schedule.
- Proven experience with fault finding, PLCs, motors, and drives.
- Strong skills in electrical wiring, electrical fault finding, PLC maintenance, and programming.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Strong punctuality and attendance record.
- Willingness to learn and be teachable.
- Availability to work on a rotating shift basis.
Responsibilities Include:
- Strict adherence to quality control measures.
- Electrical and mechanical fault reporting and maintenance to company standards.
- Cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Preventative and repair maintenance of all machinery.
- Development of new systems and processes to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaboration with various departments to ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
- Reduction of scrap, wastage, and downtime of machinery.
- Compliance with all company policies, including health and safety, food safety, and workplace standards.
- Repair of machinery parts using welding, brazing, and other specialized tools.
- Review and follow technical machinery manuals.
- Use of heavy machinery, such as forklifts, to carry out duties.
