Job description: Job Description :A dynamic and growing media agency is looking for an innovative Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant to join their team for a 3-month fixed term contract. Utilise your expertise in Adobe, Canva and creative abilities to craft designs for digital media and diverse clientele. This is a busy environment that demands proficient English skills and effective multitasking. Engage in ground-breaking projects catering to various clients.In this role, you will support their marketing efforts by creating engaging visual content using Canva, assisting with social media management, and coordinating marketing campaigns. The position is based in-office in Fourways – role can be half or full-day. Candidate needs to be available immediately.Responsibilities:
- Design eye-catching graphics for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials using Canva.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies.
- Manage and update social media platforms with fresh content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and implement innovative ideas.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Requirements
- 2 + years’ graphic design experience
- Graphic design certificate or diploma in media or similar an advantage
- Proficient in Canva and other graphic design tools
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and marketing principles
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Marketing assistant experience an advantage
- Illustrator, inDesign an advantage
- Able to be based in-office

- Good attention to detail
