- Matric
- Relevant qualification in Design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience in mould design within a Toolroom environment
- Strong understanding of both blow moulding and injection moulding processes
- Well-developed leadership and junior management skills
- Strong communication skills
DUTIES:
- Design and develop moulds for rigid plastic product manufacturing.
- Manage complete projects from concept to industrialization.
- Design components as per briefs and advise on material choice and functionality.
- Manage mould trials and provide all relevant information to trial staff.
- Participate in sourcing mould components.
- Collaborate closely with toolmakers during all phases of mould manufacturing.
- Maintain and update the mould/drawing database.
- Troubleshoot component and mould issues.
- Manage various technical projects related to toolroom and production improvements.
- Initiate or participate in projects.
HOURS:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 – 17:00
- Friday: 8:00 – 15:45
