Job description: Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is looking for an experienced and professional Injection Molding Designer to join their dynamic team. This role requires technical expertise in mold design, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to deliver high-quality designs under tight deadlines in Ottery, Western CapeMinimum requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in injection moulding and blow moulding design or a similar role with necessary mould design, particularly within a Toolroom environment
- Must have work experience in the manufacturing environment and able to design and develop moulds for rigid plastic product manufacturing
- Strong understanding of mold design principles, plastic materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage complete projects from concept to industrialization and design components as per birefs and advise on material choice and functionality
- High level of planning and organizational skills with the ability to assist any hands-on requests is beneficial
- Ability to collaborate closely with toolmakers during all phases of mould manufacturing
- Manage various technical projects related to toolroom and production improvements w
- Detail orientated with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans is beneficial
- Valid drivers license and own transport is required
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD aand Solidworks is required for mold design
