Job description: Construction Manager – JhbFull job descriptionThis position assumes the responsibility to supervise workers, materials, cleanup and time management of the building and/or construction site.Manage and run residential and commercial construction sites.Candidate must be hands on with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction, alterations and general construction work from setting out to finishes.The candidate must have experience in managing materials, staff, labourers, and sub-contractors on several sites concurrently as well as dealing professionally with clients.Duties & Responsibilities~Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans~Producing schedules and monitor attendance of crew~Allocating general and daily responsibilities~Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans~Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew~Allocate general and daily responsibilities~Supervise and train workers and tradespeople~Ensure manpower and resources are adequate~Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met~Supervise the use of machinery and equipment~Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget~Resolve problems when they arise~Report on progress to business owner etc.Requirements and skills~Proven experience as construction foreman~In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and equipment~Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pluming systems~Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints~Excellent organizational and leadership skills~Ability to communicate and report effectively~Aptitude in math~Problem-solving abilities~Good physical condition and staminaHigh school diplomaEXPERIENCEMin 5 years related experienceMust have a valid driver’s license and pdp.Job Type: Temp to permContract length: 3 monthsPay: R16 000,00 – R23 000,00 per month
