The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of production processes, equipment, and systems within our facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth functioning of vital industrial processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production systems and equipment in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical sectors to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and adjust operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rates, and chemical processes to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with plant equipment, identifying and addressing any faults or anomalies quickly to minimize downtime.
- Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the functionality and safety of equipment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize production processes and improve system efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, production reports, and maintenance activities.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies, executing emergency procedures to minimize risks and ensure plant safety.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior operators, ensuring the development of best practices across the team.
Skills & Qualifications: * Experience: 5-10 years experience as a Process/Production Operator in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of process control systems, DCS, SCADA, and PLC operations in Oil and Gas.
- Safety Awareness: Solid knowledge of HSE regulations and the ability to identify and address safety concerns proactively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, maintenance, and management effectively.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, HAZOP, Process Safety Management, or similar) are highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces or elevated areas if necessary.
Education:
- Required: A relevant technical qualification (e.g., National Diploma, Engineering qualification, or Process Control).
- Preferred: Degree in Engineering, Chemical Process, or related field.
