- To provide an effective support service to the SAF Brassica seed production team at Lutzville SAF
Accountabilities
- Representation of Syngenta work ethics
- Equipment maintenance i.e.Threshers, Planters, Ghrops, Lettuce Harvester and Trailers
- Stock/equipment – control management
- Sowing of stock seeds for field productions
- Setup and control of transplanting equipment, during transplanting season
- Ensure plant health through spraying, rogue and cutting of flower heads and field trails
- Seed production seed intake management/control
- Management of pre-cleaning the produced seeds
- Taking of representative seed samples from all batches
- Packaging of seeds for export
- Cleaning of production facilities
QualificationsQualifications, experience & capabilities
- Minimum Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Teamwork and working with clients
- 5 years experience in Agriculture related work environment
- Basic knowledge of operating seed cleaning equipment or Agriculture equipment
- Basic knowledge of responsible Agricultural chemical use
- Basic vegetable seed crop & production knowledge
- Forklift maintenance and handling experience
