We’re looking for a Payroll Officer, who’s a Sage 300 wizard, to manage payroll with precision and excellence. - Oversee end-to-end payroll process
- Review and process payroll inputs
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, labour laws and company policies
- Generate and distribute payroll reports for management and financial analysis
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconciliations
- Payroll queries
- Maintain payroll records
- System management and process improvements
- Team leadership and development – acting as 2IC to the Payroll Manager
Education Requirements:
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Tertiary qualification in payroll or HR
Job Requirements and Skills:
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in a Payroll Officer position essential
- Sage 300 People working knowledge ESSENTIAL
- Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
- Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
- Proficient in MS packages
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Team player
