Job description: Job Summary Our client in the Agricultural Sector is looking for a Sales Representative (Animal Nutrition) to join their team in Western Cape, Knysna.Requirements:
- B.Sc/BCom in Agriculture, Animal Science or related field.
- Proven sales experience, particularly in animal nutrition.
- Solid knowledge of pasture management on dairy farms is required.
- A well-established network within the agricultural sector is an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from identifying client needs to closing deals and offering post-sale support.
- Nurture and expand the current client base while developing new relationships with prospective customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s presence in the region.
Develop strategic plans to increase market share and achieve sales targets. * Offer expert guidance on animal nutrition products, while continuously expanding knowledge in pasture products.
- Utilise expertise in pasture management on dairy farms to provide tailored solutions and recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs to stay ahead of the competition.
- Manage the assigned territory to maximise sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Plan sales activities to align with seasonal demands and target customer segments.
- Ensure thorough coverage of the region by traveling extensively in territory to meet with clients.
