A multinational group that specializes in providing innovative and sustainable solutions across a variety of industries, including mining, chemicals, construction, engineering, and agriculture is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to permanently join their finance team and contribute to the continued success and growth.Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, and performing reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators and providing insights for decision-making.
- Support treasury operations, including cash flow management, and assist with hedging strategies to mitigate financial risk.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and assist with internal and external audits.
- Analyze cost structures in mining, construction, engineering, and electricity sectors, working with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth financial operations and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & skills:
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with at least 3 years of post-article experience.
- Experience within either mining, construction, engineering, or electricity sectors is essential.
