Job description: The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for an individual to administer service benefits of WCG employees.
Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
RecommendationRelevent human resource management experience; PERSAL Introduction certificate.
Key Performance AreasAdminister various service conditions and service benefits (i.e Pension administration allowance payments, Injury on duty, long service recognition, Housing allowance and salary administration); Responsible for updating of databases; Liaison with call centre and Customer Relations Unit (CRU) managers and other departments; Drafting of formal correspondence and letters, (i.e. memorandums, e-mails).
CompetenciesGood understanding of the following: Legislative framework that governs Human Resource; Service Conditions; Ability to work well under pressure with strict confidentiality requirements; Meet deadlines; Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Communication skills (written and verbal).
RemunerationR 216 417 per annum (Salary Level 5)Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance,pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
