Other duties include:
- Supervise the bookkeeper and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Oversee and execute month-end processes, including fixed assets, provisions, and tax entries
- Prepare actual vs. budget reports by business unit and cost centre
- Engage with auditors and support the annual audit process
- Prepare local statutory financial statements in line with accounting regulations
Education:
- Completed
Accounting degree (Honours is highly advantageous) * Completed SAICA articles
Job Experience & Skills required:
- In-depth understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations
- Experience managing bookkeeping and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with auditors and internal teams
