Job description: My client based in the South of Durban, needs a Junior Finance Accountant for a FTC, ending March 2025.The roles requires Accounts Payable related tasks, and a few to mention below:Requirements:
- Relevant qualification
- 4-5 Years accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of Debtors, Fixed Assets, taxation and other maters
- Experience and knowledge of general ledger analysis and monthly reconciliation
- Experience and knowledge in accounting, taxation and IFRS
- Advanced computer skills in MS Excel and MS Word
- Strong knowledge and skills in ERP (SAP) and accounting system
- Analytical and have high attention to detail
Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Reconciliation of Supplier recons to ERP, resolving queries timeously
- Analyzing financial data obtained through ERP to determine the accuracy of transactions
- Preparation of monthly and weekly payment reports
- Assist in the preparation of monthly GL reconciliation and financial reports
- Training of creditors administrators in performing supplier reconciliations and resolving queries on the accounts
- Develop and implement tools to streamline reconciliation processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all reconciliation activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
- Collaborate with team to support financial operations
- Work closely with other departments within the company and suppliers to source relevant information
