Job description: Bookkeeper – Somerset WestFull job descriptionA Specialist software development company situated in Somerset West is looking for a dynamic Bookkeeper to join their growing finance team. The company is committed to developing intelligent software solutions for the property management industry.As a Bookkeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in managing of financial records, overseeing both accounts payable and receivable, and playing a key part in the financial management of the organisation. Your sharp eye for detail, expertise with financial software, and ability to work autonomously will be essential in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and efficiently.Responsibilities:Keep precise records of all financial transactions and related documentation.Ensure the financial database is consistently updated and well-maintained.Support the management of debtors and creditors by handling invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.Track and follow up on overdue payments, addressing and resolving any discrepancies that arise.Work closely with the finance team to ensure seamless financial operations.Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.Contribute to financial projects and initiatives.Offer general administrative assistance to the finance department as required.Skills:Proficiency working on Xero and ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organisational culture and time management skills.Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectivelyStrong communications skillsRequirements:Diploma or Matric Certificate5-7 years of total experience in Bookkeeping.Relevant finance and accounting qualification would be advantageous.Salary and Benefits:R18 000 – R20 000/ monthJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: R18 000,00 – R20 000,00 per monthApplication Question(s):How much experience do you have in bookkeeping?Education:High School (matric) (Required)
